Moments after Jeannie took this picture for me, we realised that someone had left their phone on the table behind me. I reached for the phone and we all came to a consensus that we should keep it and wait for the owner to return for the phone instead of waiting for the waiter to do the same - largely because we highly doubted that he would do the same. We only realised it was a Nokia 7260 after we removed it from the pouch. As much as we wanted to keep it, we made a unanimous decision to call several numbers on the phone to try to get someone to inform the owner. Not only were those people Jeannie spoke to oblivious and indifferent towards our rare act of kindness, we were not even rewarded with some more waffles after she came to collect it! In fact, when she arrived all she gave us was a cold "thank you." I even tried to tell her to be careful next time to try to force in some form of conversation but to no avail. We were then left with no choice later on but to console ourselves that at least we had done a good deed.
