I hate to lose more than I hate to wait.

I need to get fit. I thought I was fit enough but after two of yesterday’s touch rugby matches, I now know how much room for improvement I have. Like I always say, “Complacency is a disease and I suffer from it.” Now I know I should say, “If at first you succeed, try something harder.” I guess I’ll only be happy if I am able to last throughout the match without the slightest feeling of fatigue and exhaustion. Haha. As for the mixed match, I guess I’ll be training with the gals more often now. They may not be as fit and fast as most guys but I gradually found out that I have quite a bit to learn from them in terms of touch rugby tactics. Being quite a fun-loving bunch, one of them even announced that I’m attached on the loudhailer when she saw the wallpaper of Chloe and I in my phone. Training with them can be quite an experience after all if only I bother to keep an open mind.

Since I felt that I would not be able to make it for the Miss Singapore Universe Pageant in time if I drove home, I decided to ask my brother to bring my clothes to Caldecott hill so that I can change there after taking my bath at SMU which is quite close to turf city where I played my rugby. What I thought was a good idea turned out to be 45 minutes of waiting for my brother and friends who turned up at MediaCorp late. What’s worse was that I had no one to blame because all three of them started blaming each other when I asked who’s fault it was – it was a comical incident of finger pointing amongst three grown men. To add on to what was already a day stained by a litany of cock ups, someone left the tickets in the cab – this time, all the fingers were pointing at one particular person. Without wasting much time, we called the cab company and only managed to retrieve the tickets half an hour after my brother arrived at Caldecott Hill (Take note that at this point in time I had already waited 45 mins + 30 mins just to get in). We let out a sigh of relief when we managed to catch the swimsuit section on TV while waiting for the driver to return us our tickets - referring to the handphone my friends and I returned a couple of days ago, I guess doing good deeds really pays off!

I liked the atmosphere of the studio and the opportunity to stand beside celebrities such as Jamie Ong (she’s very hot), Nadya (she’s very hot, too), Celeste Chong (Also, very hot) and Sandy Chua (Not hot but damn tall). Took some pictures with Destiny and Crystal and somehow I felt that there is still a little animosity between my brother and Crystal – maybe emotional remnants from the past. I was invited to their post pageant chill-out session at liquid room but chose to meet Chloe (hottest) instead – Winner of Miss Dennis Ng Pageant. So I picked her up at her place, took her to Pasir Ris Park and spent as much time at the park as I spent looking for a parking lot coz’ it started to drizzle. We spent the rest of the night at my place instead.

Today, I realized the hard way that Chloe is damn good at arcade games – Chloe baby, don’t swell. I can’t remember the last time I played my last arcade game but I guess that’s no excuse for allowing her to kick my pathetic ass; at some point in time I was also beginning to wonder if I was really playing with a gal. To add salt and insult to injury, she even tried to rub it in by cheekily asking me afterwards, “So how many games did I win you?” I think I should ask her to play scrabble with me. Maybe and hopefully that’ll salvage some form of pride for my already battered ego. Haha. I'll be back.
