Paintball
The last fateful time I tried my hands with "Paintball" at Yishun Country Club, my friends and I got so psyched up and hungry for more that we nearly wanted to pay another 40 bucks for another session after spending almost 60 bucks for the first. I gotta admit I was close to being compulsively addicted. Being one who's already having problems coping with my adrenaline addiction, just try to imagine my disappointment when we decided to leave and save the money for another time and possibly other things. We had a hellava time reminiscing and reliving those vivid memories we had of ourselves playing “Police and Thief” when we were kids – only this time, it hurts when the pellets hit you and your aiming is better thanks to SAF.
That happened almost 2 years ago when I was still in OCS. As much as we loved the game, we couldn’t bring ourselves to indulge in a game that was unquestionably more expensive than wakeboarding – at least wakeboarding you get a nice tan, this one you just get round and nicely shaped bruises to boot.
Nevertheless, leaving the army in no way means that my interest in wielding guns left me as well. I'm a guy and any full-blooded male would jump at the chance to hold a gun, not to mention fire one. So I was watching "Urban Escape" on TCS 5 just now and besides talking about go-karting they had this part about a new paintball joint at the Singapore Discovery Centre. Here's the add: http://crossfire.sdc.com.sg/
Compare this with the layout at Yishun and I think I still prefer the one at Yishun. But price-wise, I'm leaning more on the side of Singapore Discovery Centre. For those who live on very high mountains (i.e. Sua Ku), SDC is at Jurong - even further than NTU.
