Most of us sleep away 1/3 of our lives.

Reminds of how I used to romp around with my activities resembling a zombie in OCS during my army days with minimal sleep and not to mention food. The benefits of that kind of training were finally reaped when I now try to go through a whole day of dreary work and arduous training regularly on just 2 to 5 hours of sleep. Nevertheless, it has surely taken a toll on my capacity to work and increases the propensity of me missing out little details.

After work yesterday, my team had a meeting with my manager because several salient and pertinent issues had to be meted out. As always, the usual banter came into the picture and needless to say unnecessarily prolonged the meeting and extended the agenda way beyond its intended minutes. MAS (Monetary Authority of Singapore) will be paying us a visit next month so we’ve been told to be on our toes. In other words, we will try to “wayang” a bit more and try to be more “on the ball”.

Since three people will celebrate their birthdays this month, the meeting was quickly followed by a short and meaningful cake cutting and pizza grubbing session spiced up with a little office gossiping. Not surprisingly, my “priority client” as they call her, Mdm Pong (from earlier post), was mentioned and we’re still baffled as to whether she is simply someone who is indecisive or mentally unsound. In a way, I pity her for the loss she has incurred. But whatever sympathy that existed immediately vanished the moment she lodged a complaint against my manager and I; just my luck to have met her.

I was about to continue on about training at NUS and Alley Bar with two buddies but I think I have to retire now. Maybe I’ll throw in those with some pictures tomorrow.
