It should only rain when we're sleeping.

Nice to see my soccer buddies from New Creation Church after several weeks of absence once again. As one of the best teams I’ve ever played for, I’ve never had qualms about playing for them whenever they needed my services. I was a little late so I only got to play the second half. First half score 1-1, Second half score 3-1. We played a really hardworking team today but I’m glad we won. Although the match was filled with hard tackles, both teams were quick to apologize and showed their remorse through simple gestures by helping each other up and shaking hands. We enjoyed the match thoroughly.

So there was no rugby training yesterday thanks to the slight drizzle which led to the closure of the Padang field. Unfortunately, Angela and Moo only informed me when I got there. With time to spare, I parked my car beside the Padang and decided to go for a run. Taking the route my AHM (Army Half Marathon) team used for our trainings, I realized how nice the view along the Esplanade and Marina Promenade could be in the night. There were lotsa couples enjoying the warm breeze and scenic view under poorly lit areas; I considerately threaded quicker when I went past them so their furtive sessions won’t be perturbed by my throbbing footsteps. I guess I failed miserably because most of them would stop whatever they’re doing, turn and look elsewhere when I passed them by. I also decided at the last minute that I should take the rare opportunity to run up the Benjamin Shears Bridge without worrying about sweating since I was dressed in my Adidas t-shirt and shorts. Not surprisingly, the view was breath-taking and panoramic up there; worth the 5 minute run up and 3 minute run down. I wonder what it’ll be like at 5am in the morning when the traffic is much lighter.
